BAFAB Contest: Win a free recommended book

It's horrible, I know. Here I am, the originator of BAFAB Week, and people all around are throwing BAFAB contests and being all generous, and I have yet to do anything about it.

I have an excuse. I've been sick since Saturday, and busy with KidderLit, the newest site in my online universe. But still. I'm ashamed of myself.

So here's the story. This BAFAB Week's guest reviewer Gail Gauthier and I recommended six different books for BAFAB. You can read our reviews here. The books are:

Laura Whitcomb, A Certain Slant of Light
Joseph Finder,
Power Play
M.T. Anderson,
The Astonishing Life of Octavian Nothing, Traitor to the Nation
Alan Alda,
Things I Overheard While Talking to Myself
Catherine Fisher,
Corbenic
Scott Smith,
A Simple Plan

I am prepared to send one of these books to a lucky winner. I'll hold a drawing on October 8th of all the entrants. Here's how to enter:

1. Leave a comment on this post with your name and your book of choice. That will buy you one ticket in the drawing.

2. Because I'd like to spread the word about my various projects, blog about TwitterLit or KidderLit, including links to one or both sites. Leave a comment here with your name and book of choice and the URL of your blog post. That will get you two tickets in the drawing.

The winner will be notified by email on October 8th and will have to supply me then with a shipping address. I'll ship out the book via Amazon. Good luck!

I'm cross-posting this at a number of my sites. Wherever you happen to come upon it, just enter the contest via the comments at that site.

Thanks for all the good recommends. Based on your post I had already decided I had to read Laura Whitcomb's _A Certain Slant of Light_, so please include me in your drawing. Thanks!

Thanks, Amie! Consider yourself entered.

Well, I sure'd like a chance to win me some Alan Alda, so I'll throw my hat in the ring ...

Sure thing, Cap'n!

I'd be interested in reading The Astonishing Life of Octavian Nothing.

Thanks, Nicole!

Oops, I'm getting here too late, I think, to blog about Twitterlit or Kidderlit and get two tickets, but I'd like to put my name in for one ticket for Octavian Nothing. And if you'll email me to remind me, I'll blog about BOTH TwitterLit and KidderLit next week. :)

And of course I mean I'll blog about them even if I don't win!

You're in, Dew. Thanks!

Here I am, just in the nick of time! Thanks for that reminder post. Please enter me. My book of choice is A Simple Plan. Thanks!

Yay, Kimmy! Glad you made it.
